<dc:description>Over the last 15 years, many economists and sociologists have discussed the rising inequality of Japanese society. Their arguments often focus on young temporary workers, who greatly increased under the Koizumi government. Some researchers have emphasized the Japanese way of employment was out of date after globalization.
On the contrary, many regular male workers still keep their jobs and were compensated for their long-time experience. According to a Japanese labor force survey in the first quarter of 2008, 54.2% of female employees engaged in temporary work, yet only 18.6% of male employees were. Female temporary workers are fired more easily than male workers, as everyone knows. But I have to say, also some males keep working in unprofitable sorts of occupation, for regular full-time male workers keep their jobs even during a depression.</dc:description>
