The procedure is the finite element method based upon displacement method, the buckling characteristic equation is obtained by employing the principle of virtual work. Data computed at each node include the deflections, rotations, axial displacements, moments, shears and axial forces. The method is verified by comparing measured and predicted behavior for wooden gable frames. A listing of program, written in JIS FORTRAN is given.
