Continuous observaions of the cosmic ray neutron intensity using the IGY-type neutron monitor are being carried out since August 1970 at Morioka. Details of the monitor, together with some preliminary observational results thereby obtained, were reported earlier. This paper gives mainly details of the further operation of the monitor and discusses on some features of the time variations of the neutron intensity observed up to date. It is concluded from the discussion that the counting rates are reasonable and the monitor itself has been operated stably and reliably throughout the period August 1970 - January 1975. All the cosmic ray neutron data, in daily average, obtained during this period are arranged in tabular form as "Supplementary Table" at the end of the paper, together with the hourly intensities for the August event, 1972. |
