内容記述 | It has been observed that proper names such as Shakespewe, Saul Bellow, Longfellow, and soon are used to refer to their work as in the following sentence.1 (1) Mary read Shakespeare at the library when she was young. Shakespeare in (1)is lexically human but is used as a contextually nonhuman noun phrase, and Shakespeare as a contextually nonhuman noun phrase represents the entire work, any work available, or some specific work by Shakespeare. |
