内容記述 | The visco3ities and the densities of the methanol, ethanol and 1-propanol solutions in heavy water were measured at temperatures ranging from l0°C to 60°C, and the relation between the visco3ity and the structure of the solution was studied by applying the Macedo-Litovitz equation, η=A0exp (Ev*/RT+γV0/VJ), whereηis the viscosity, Ev*, the activation energy of the viscous flow per mole, T the absolute temperature, R - the gas constant, V0 the close-packed molar volume, VJ the free volume per mole, A0 a constant, and y , which is usually I, is a numerical factor needed to correct the overlap of free volume. It was shown that V0/VJ contributes to the viscosity as much as Ev*/RT: and that in the change of V0/Vt. There is a maximum value at some composition, and that this is the main factor which causes the maximum v1Scosity m the alcohol-heavy water solutions as well as in the alcohol-water solutions. However, the heavy water molecules are more highly associated by hydrogen bonding than the water molecules at the same temperature, and so the values of Ev*/RT and V0/VJ of the alcohol-heavy water solutions are larger than those of the alcohol-water solutions. It was shown, therefore, that at any composition the viscosities of the heavy water solutions were higher than those of the water solutions at the same temperature, and that the maximum viscosities in the heavy water solutions were about 1.2 times as much as those in the water solutions. | |||||||||
