| 内容記述 | The viscosities and the densities of the ethanol-npropanol solutions and the n-propanol-i-propanol solutions were measured and the Macedo-Litovitz equation for the viscosity1or liquids was applied, which had been obtained from the rate-theory approach of Eyring, combined with the free-volume theory of Cohen and Turnbull, having the form η/T = A0 exp [Ev*/RT + y V0/Vf], where η is the viscosity, T the absolute temperature, A 0 a constant, Ev * the activation energy for viscous flow per mole, R the gas constant, V 0 the close-packed volume per mole, v1 the free volume per mole, and y a constant needed to correct for the overlap of free volume. In an ideal solution A 0, Ev *, and V0/V, vary additively with the composition, and so the above equation at constant temperature leads to the form 1nη/ =x1 ln'η1 +x2 lnη2 , where x1 and x2 are the molar fraction of each component, and η₁ and η2 are the viscosity of each component. It was observed in these two solutions that the coefficients of correlation between 1n η and the molar fraction were almost equal to unity. It seems, therefore, that these solutions may be regarded as "ideal" in the viscous behavior. |
