Did teachers earnestly adopt patriotic education, including subservience to the Emperor’s wishes, and shut down their students’free thinking? How did children orphaned by tsunami develop their own disaster prevention from tsunami in their later lives? In this paper The Taro Village Tsunami Record Magazine and the local patriotism education documents of Taro Village are analyzed.
