| 内容記述 | The Centre for Hiraizumi Studies at Iwate University was established in response to Hiraizumi’s World Heritage registration in 2011 and Formation of a Comprehensive Research Base for World Heritage Hiraizumi Culture in 2012 as an interdisciplinary research hub. It aims to academically elucidate the characteristics of Hiraizumi culture, focusing on history, religion, archaeology, and the arts, while promoting its value through collaboration with the local community. The centre advances research on Pure Land Buddhism, archaeological analysis of ceramics, and the use of digital technology for cultural heritage preservation. It fosters international exchange through agreements with institutions such as Iwate prefecture, Shandong University and contributes to regional development through lectures and educational programs for cultural heritage preservation. | |||||||||
