Don plantations for factors influencing the\nspecies diversity of understory' trees. We analyzed a hierarchy of factors to employ a\nclassification and regression tree (CART) model of 50 stands with different forest\nphysiognomies. We found that the light environment is the most important factor in\nincreasing the species diversity of Cryptomeria japonica plantations.
