 note = {A seven-year-old castrated shizuw as brought to our hospitalw ith ac hief complaint of recurrent urolithiasis and its accompanying cystitis. Imaging studies showed enlargement of the left renal pelvis and proximal ureter was found，and uroliths were identified in the renal pelvis，ureter，and bladder. Ureterotomy and cystotomy werw performed，and the calculi were removed. For fear of potential ureteralobstruction due to swelling of the ureteral mucosa，a nephrostomy tube was implanted. After opening of the ureter was confirmed by urography via the nephrostomy tube，the tube was removed out on postoperative day 5. No urinary problems have been observed for two months since the surgery. Thus，temporary use of a nephrostomy tube may be useful in preparing for potential urinary tract obstruction after ureterotomy., 7歳齢，去勢済み雄のシーズーが再発を繰り返す腸脱結石とそれに伴う腸脱炎を主訴に岩手大学動物病院に来院した。X線検査および超音波エコー検査により左腎の腎孟・近位尿管の拡張，そして腎孟，尿管，腸脱それぞれに
結石を認めたため，尿管および膀胱切開術による尿路結石の除去を試みた。術後尿管粘膜の腫脹による尿管閉塞が起こる可能性を考慮し，腎瘻チューブを設置した。術後5日目に腎瘻チューブを用いた尿管造影検査を行ったところ尿管の閉塞は確認されなかったため腎瘻チューブを抜去した。現在術後約2カ月が経過するが，排尿状態に問題はなく，良好な経過が得られている。本症例のような尿管切開術後に危倶される尿管閉塞への対策として，腎瘻チューブの設置は有効であると考えられた。},
