| 内容記述 | 一般家庭および繁殖施設で飼育されているイヌのGiardia intestinalis感染状況を糞便中の特異抗原を検出するELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay)キットで調査した。一般家庭で飼育されているイヌのG. intestinalis抗原陽性率は，16.1 % (164/1020) であり，イヌの年齢，由来および糞便の性状の各疫学的要因と関連が認められた。抗原陽性イヌの多く(83.5%) が室内飼育イヌであったことは，イヌがヒトのジアルジア感染症の保虫宿主として重要な意義があると考えられた。1~7カ月齢未満のイヌでは軟便や下痢便の発現にG. intestinalis感染の関与が示唆された。調査した14繁殖施設のすべてで抗原陽性イヌが検出され、さらに抗原陽性率は特に1~7カ月齢未満のイヌで50.0% (42/84)と著しく高いことから，繁殖施設は子イヌのG. intestinalis感染の場として重要な役割を果たしていることが明らかとなった。G. intestinalisの24分離株について遺伝子型を解析したところ，14分離株がassemblage A，6分離株がassemblage D，1分離株がassemblage Cであり，3分離株はassemblage AとDの混合感染であった。Assemblage AおよびDはペットショップ/繁殖施設が感染の場であるのに対し，assemblage Cは野外環境に感染の場があることが推察された。室内飼育イヌの分離株は73.9% (17/23)が人獣共通感染性であると考えられているassemblage Aであった。 | |||||||||

| 内容記述 | The presence of Giardia intestinalis infection was examined in individual household and breeding kennel dogs, using an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kit, which detected the specific antigen of G. intestinalis in feces. The positive rate of G. intestinalis antigen in individual household dogs was 16.1 % (164/1020), and associated with the age, origin and fecal condition of dogs. There was no direct relation between living condition and G. intestinalis infection. It implied a zoonotic problem that many of antigen-positive dogs (83.5%) were kept in indoors. It was suggested that G. intestinalis infection affected the appearance of soft and diarrheic feces in these dogs. The antigen-positive dogs were detected in all of 14 breeding kennels, and the positive rate showed high level of 50.0% (42/84) in dogs aged less than 7 months. These results showed that G. intestinalis widely spread breeding kennels in Japan, and the breeding kennels played an important role of G. intestinalis infections in puppies. Genotyping of 24 isolates of G. intestinalis showed that 14 isolates were assemblage A, 6 assemblage D, 1 assemblage C and the remaining 3 were seemed to be mixture of assemblage A and D. It was suggested that pet shops/breeding kennels and field environments provided the infections with assemblages A and D, and assemblage C, respectively. Household dogs will be important for the public health as reservoir of G. intestinalis infections of humans. | |||||||||
