Iwate had been carried out since 1998 due to the frequent occurrence of volcanic earthquake. Due to the economic consideration to the region, measures or methods for recognizing to climb Mt. Iwate with the security of the safety of the mountain climbers were examined, while the volcanic activity had continued through three years. By the cooperation of related organizations for preventing disaster, the answers were proposed as followings; To announce appropriate information to mountain climbers from Morioka District Meteorological Observatory, To establish the system which transmits the emergency alert to mountain climbers, To teach climbers climb mountains on their own responsibility. The regulation for stopping to climb mountains were temporarily relaxed from July 1st, 2001 until October 8th for 4 mountain trails in the eastern Mt. Iwate. The challenge to live together with the volcano, where volcanic activity still continued, was started. The correspondence in Mt.
