| 内容記述 | This paper presents a case study of English Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) at an elementary school in a northern city in Japan. The first author observed all the English lessons for a specific textbook chapter conducted in a Grade 6 class. In addition to classroom observations, the study involved interviews with the teacher, questionnaires distributed to students, and an analysis of policy documents and materials to gain a deeper understanding of how English education was implemented at the school. Based on the data collected, this paper also discusses the challenges in the application of CLT and offers insights for English education in Japan. | |||||||||||||
