| 内容記述 | 複雑化する環境問題の解決のために多様な主体の協働に基づく,新しいガバナンスの構築が求められている。森林環境ガバナンスの構築には市民社会が重要な役割を果たし,森林ボランティアはその具体的活動例であるといえる。日本の森林は伝統的に農村地域コミュニティによって保全されてきた。しかし,現在の森林ボランティアは都市住民が森林保全作業へ参加する活動としてはじまり,国産木材の利用増加に向けた運動や政策提言へと展開しているところに特徴がある。森林ボランティアの数は近年,劇的に増加をみせると同時に,コミュニティからナショナルレベルの範域において他の主体とのネットワークを形成している。森林ボランティアの活動は,都市と農山村を結ぶ「新しいコモンズ」の形成のために不可欠な活動であるといえよう。 | |||||||

| 内容記述 | The solutions to increasingly complex environmental problems necessitate new governance based on the cooperation of diverse actors. The role of civil society in creating new forest governance is important, and forestry volunteering is a specific example of the kind of action required. Japanese forests have traditionally been preserved by agricultural communities. However, the current forest volunteer activities were started by residents in cities through their participation in forestry preservation work and are characterized by the volunteers' efforts in promoting the use of domestic wood and in making political suggestions. The number of forestry volunteers has increased dramatically in recent years, and have formed networks with other actors from the community to the national level. It is essential that the work of these forestry volunteers help form a "New Commons" connecting cities and rural villages. | |||||||
