| 内容記述 | 戦時体制が確立し戦争を開始した1930 年代、不況と津波に見舞われた東北三陸の沿岸漁村の小学校はどのような状況だったのか。忠君愛国教育をひたすら展開し、子どもの自由な発想にふたをかぶせ、上意下達を実現する機能を躍起に進めたのであろうか。三陸沿岸の田老村の津波誌と田老郷土教育資料を読み解き、防災と人権への接近を試みた。津波でひとり残された孤児は、津波防災をその後の人生でどう展開したのか。全国で教員への思想弾圧がかけられ、多くの教員が検挙される中で、地域の持つ課題に目を向け、それを教材化し教育で変えようとする教員も確かに存在したことを明らかにした。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | In the 1930s when Japan moved to a war footing and started to fight wars, what was the situation of the primary schools in the fishing villages along Sanriku, Tohoku, Japan? Did teachers earnestly adopt patriotic education, including subservience to the Emperor’s wishes, and shut down their students’free thinking? How did children orphaned by tsunami develop their own disaster prevention from tsunami in their later lives? In this paper The Taro Village Tsunami Record Magazine and the local patriotism education documents of Taro Village are analyzed. While all over the country teachers' thinking was under pressure and many were arrested, a reading of these sources makes clear that there were teachers who paid attention to the problems of their local community and prepared materials to change lives by means of education | |||||
